Ninaran the Elf

A quiet female elven hunter who has lived in Winterhaven all of her life. These days Ninaran can usually be found drinking alone at Wrafton’s Inn in Winterhaven. Those who know her say that this quiet elf has been somewhat stiff, brusque and bitter in demeanor of late and has been pushing away even her closest of friends.
The Winterhaven Regulars
Designation: Organization
Led by Lord Padraig himself and comprised of a mere ten citizens of Winterhaven, the Regulars are the law in and about Winterhaven. They patrol the keep, local roads, farms and homesteads surrounding Winterhaven Keep. These brave souls are overtaxed and spread overly thin. Luckily in times of dire need, Lord Padraig can call up a volunteer corps of farmers and citizens to reinforce the keep and aid in defense. Unfortunately these citizens want no part of the daily duties of the militia.

Splug the Goblin
Born in the tiny mud pit that constituted his home village of Mung, Splug managed to survive to adulthood due to his propensity for grovelling and understanding of the word “run”. Splug eventually found somewhat gainful employment working under the morbidly obese chieftain, Balgron the Fat. In time Splug payed the price for his quick tongue and greedy nature. After telling an elaborate story to his workmates about a scheme by Balgron to poison their ale rations, and dilligently offering to “dispose” of the offending liquids, Splug was caught in a darkened storage room, more than a little inebreated and insulting an empty wine casks mother. His comrades promptly delivered Splug to Shnaril, the resident hobgoblin torturemaster.
It was shortly thereafter that poor Splug was found and released by a band of adventurers from Winterhaven. He is currently (albeit likely temporarily) in their employ.
Thunderspire
East of Fallcrest, This striking peak is the largest of the Old Hills. Beneath Thunderspire lies the ancient minotaur city of Saruun Khel. The minotaur kingdom fell almost a hundred years before Fallcrest was established, when a struggle for succession led to a vicious civil war. In the upper halls of the minotaur city the mysterious order of wizards known as the Mages of Saruun have established a secretive stronghold; merchants passing along the Trade Road sometimes take shelter here.
Temple of Yellow Skulls
Designation: Ruins
The ruins of an evil shrine stand in the middle of these desolate hills. Legend tells that a rakshasa prince summoned demons to this place and bound them to his service by imprisoning their vital essences in gold-plated human skulls. None of these have yet been recovered from the ruins, but the story persists. Deep caverns beneath the ruins lead all the way down to the Underdark, and from time to time dangerous monsters of the deep places emerge here and prowl the nearby lands.
The Stonemarch
Designation: Region
Past the Cairgorm Peaks lies a rugged land of stony hills and deep gorges cut by white-rushing rivers. This is the Stonemarch, home to tribes of dangerous humanoids and giants. Orcs, ogres, giants, and trolls haunt the farther reaches of these barren lands. Fortunately for the residents of the vale, the monsters rarely come east over the Cairngorm Peaks.
Ruins of Fastormel
Designation: Ruins
Once a prosperous town on the shores of Lake Nen, Fastormel was destroyed by the Bloodspear orcs and has never been resettled. The town was ruled by a Lord Mage (the most powerful wizard in town claimed the ruler’s scepter), and the Mistborn Tower of the last Lord Mage still stands amid the ruins of the town. The tower is shrouded in a strange silver mist that never dissipates, no matter what the weather would otherwise dictate.
Forest Cliff Lair

Designation: Lair
This beautiful forest waterfall and glen is rumored to be the hideout of a band of koblods that have been harassing the town of Winterhaven for some months now. The Lightblades were informed of it’s whereabouts by a distraught warrior woman found by the side of the Old King’s Road. She is currently recuperating at the Lightblade camp after refusing to return to Winterhaven and “deal with that old fool who is most certainly going to blame this whle thing on me”.
